From a client
“When I put on my Nande Hair, I feel like royalty. It is not just hair — it is a confidence, a crown.”
Thandi M. · Johannesburg
The founder
Built on faith, worn with grace.
Nande Hair began in a hospital room in Johannesburg, not a boardroom. It was named for a daughter, and built on the belief that a woman's hair is her glory — a crown, not a vanity.
“I don't sell hair. I sell the feeling of walking into a room knowing you are enough.”

Our story
Born from love & grace.
Nande Hair was not born in a boardroom. It was born in a hospital room in Johannesburg, in the quiet hours after a daughter arrived.
Zenande — a name meaning multiply — became the heartbeat of everything that followed. The brand carries her name because it carries her promise: that what is given in love comes back increased.
Our founder had always believed what scripture says — that a woman's hair is her glory. Not a vanity, but a crown. Nande Hair exists to honour that crown in every woman who wears it.
What began as a labour of love has grown into a brand worn by women across South Africa who understand that how you show up matters.
Meet the founder
Passion. Purpose. Prayer.
A visionary entrepreneur with deep roots in the South African beauty space, our founder built Nande Hair on three pillars: excellence, empathy and faith.
Her philosophy is simple. A woman who feels beautiful carries herself differently — she walks into rooms with her head held high, because her crown is in order.
“I sell the feeling of walking into a room and knowing you are enough — crowned, glorious, worthy.”
Our foundation
What we believe
Her hair is her glory
A woman's hair is not vanity. It is her crown — a declaration of identity, beauty and dignity.
Faith over fear
Every decision here is made with prayer. What is built on faith endures through every season.
Quality without compromise
We source only 100% human hair, because the women who wear it deserve nothing less.
Community & sisterhood
Nande Hair is a community of crowned women lifting one another higher, every day.

Care guide
Keeping your crown
Human hair no longer draws oil from your scalp, so it relies entirely on you. Treated well, a Nande piece holds its shape and shine for a year or more.
01 — Washing
Wash it less than you think
Every two to three weeks is right for most women. Weekly washing strips the cuticle and dulls the shine long before the hair is worn out.
1
Detangle dry
Start at the ends with a wide-tooth comb and work upwards in sections. Never take a comb to soaking wet hair — that is when strands snap.
2
Rinse downward
Hold the piece under cool running water and let it run from cap to ends. Cool water keeps the cuticle flat, which is what gives the hair its shine.
3
Shampoo the hair, not the base
Use a sulphate-free shampoo. Smooth it down the length in one direction with flat palms. Scrubbing or circling tangles the wefts and loosens the knots at the lace.
4
Condition mid-length to ends
Keep conditioner well away from the cap and lace — it loosens the knots that hold each strand. Leave it two to three minutes, then rinse cool.
5
Deep condition monthly
Once a month, swap your conditioner for a deep mask and leave it twenty minutes. This is what keeps a piece past its first six months.
02 — Drying & heat
Air dry wherever you can
Heat is the single fastest way to age a piece. Everything below assumes you would rather it lasted a year than looked perfect on one Tuesday.
Do
Blot with a microfibre towel or an old cotton T-shirt
Dry on a stand or mannequin so it keeps its shape
Use a heat protectant every single time, without exception
Keep tools at 180°C or below
Let it cool completely before brushing a set style
Don't
Rub with a bath towel — it roughens the cuticle
Sleep on it wet, or leave it damp in a bag
Use a flat iron on a wave pattern you want to keep
Blow dry on high heat straight out of the wash
Colour or bleach it at home
“Steam-processed waves come back on their own. If you have straightened a wave piece, a cool wash and air dry will bring the pattern home.”
03 — Everyday wear
Between the washes
6
Brush morning and night
A loop brush or wide-tooth comb, always from the ends upward. Two minutes a day prevents the matting that no wash can undo.
7
Go light on product
A little argan or a light leave-in on the ends only. Heavy serums and sprays build up at the base and turn the hair limp and dull.
8
Rest your own hair
Take the piece off at night and give your natural hair a week off between installs. Your crown underneath matters as much as the one on top.
9
Mind the lace
Remove adhesive with a proper solvent rather than pulling. Torn lace is the most common reason a piece comes back to us, and it is entirely preventable.
04 — Storage & sleep
Where it lives when you don't
How a piece is stored between wears matters nearly as much as how it is washed.
Every night
Satin bonnet, or a loose braid
Never a cotton pillowcase
Off the head where possible
Every week
Back on the stand, not in a drawer
Light brush through
Check the lace edge for lifting
Long breaks
Wash and dry fully first
Satin bag or the box it arrived in
Cool, dark, dry — never a hot car
05 — When to ask
We're on the other end of the phone
If a piece is matting, shedding more than a few strands a day, or the lace is lifting, call us before you try to fix it yourself. Most problems are reversible if we see them early, and we would far rather talk you through it than watch a good piece be lost.
Not sure what your piece needs?
Send us a photo on WhatsApp and we'll tell you honestly.
Delivery & returns
Getting it to you
Every piece is finished to your measurements before it leaves us, so there is a short making window before anything ships. Here is exactly what to expect.
01 — Before it ships
Two to three working days to make
Your length, lace and cap size are cut and fitted by hand after you order. That takes two to three working days, and it happens before the courier clock starts. An order placed on Monday is usually collected by Thursday.
“We would rather tell you three days and deliver in two than the other way round.”

04 — Returns
Fourteen days to be sure
Hair is personal, and sometimes a length or colour reads differently in your own mirror. If a piece is not right, you have fourteen days from delivery to exchange it or take a credit.
We can take it back if
It is unworn and unwashed
The lace is uncut and untinted
No adhesive, product or scent has been applied
Tags and original packaging are intact
You contact us within 14 days of delivery
We cannot take it back if
The lace has been cut, plucked or tinted
It has been worn, washed or styled with heat
It has been coloured or chemically altered
It was a custom colour made only for you
More than 14 days have passed
For hygiene reasons this policy is firm, and it is the same standard every reputable hair house in the country holds. Please try a piece on before cutting anything.
05 — The process

An exchange goes into making straight away. A credit note is issued the same day and never expires. We do not offer cash refunds except on faulty pieces.
06 — Faults
